Who We Are

Colorado Prime Timers (CPT) is a social organization of gay, bisexual, and transgender men for friendship, social interactions, cultural and educational activities, and personal growth, in a supportive and caring atmosphere. The organization’s objectives include the promotion of friendship, social interactions, cultural and educational activities, and a supportive, caring atmosphere. 

CPT was first founded in 1987 by Bobby Gates. The first meeting was at St. Paul’s church in Denver with seven attendees. Today we have over 170 members. The goal was to create a club for like-minded gay men to meet in an informal (non-bar) social atmosphere and enjoy each other’s companionship.   

Whether you’re a member, just moved to the area, or here for a short time, please join us at our scheduled activities!

Our Activities

We have a robust list of activities each month.  One of the most popular events is our weekly Wednesday Luncheon held at the Golden Corral & Grill. This is also where we hold our General Meeting.  Guests are welcome.

Events may include:

  • Kaffeeklatsch – Weekly coffee and conversation at a local restaurant
  • Movie Night – Monthly activity usually at a member’s residence
  • Night On the Town – A monthly dinner at a local restaurant
  • Over-Easy Breakfast – A monthly activity at a local restaurant
  • Sip ‘n Sup – A monthly potluck dinner at a member’s residence
  • Sunday Brunch – A monthly activity at a local restaurant
  • Dinner Theatre – A quarterly, as interest and show schedules permit

How to Join

Annual membership dues are $30 (Jan 1 – Dec 31). We do not have partial year rates.  We offer two convenient ways to join and pay your dues.
